Join 🌱 IGEN SDG Projects Summer Internship 2026

The IGEN SDG Projects Summer Internship 2026 is a 30-day immersive, action-driven learning experience designed to empower students to become SDG practitioners, innovators, and community change-makers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to move beyond classroom learning and actively implement sustainability solutions in real-world settings.

Through participation in IGEN’s flagship initiatives—#igenEnergy99Challenge, #igencycle4green, #igentalk4sdg, and #igenZero2Hero—students will gain hands-on experience in solving environmental and social challenges, aligned with the Pancha Bhoota framework (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

⚡ IGEN ENERGY99CHALLENGE : Students act as Energy Ambassadors, promoting energy-saving practices in 99 households through #ENSAV9Mantras, aiming to save 3650 units of energy annually.

🚴‍♂️ IGEN CYCLE4GREEN : Students lead and participate in Sunday cycling activities, promoting sustainable mobility, climate action, and community awareness through their own projects.

🎤 IGEN TALK4SDG : Students become SDG storytellers by selecting their
favourite SDGs, taking meaningful action, and sharing their #MySDGStory through videos, photos, or written content.

♻️ IGEN ZERO2HERO : Students lead waste reduction and sustainable living practices by adopting one action and inspiring five peers to follow, creating a ripple effect of responsible consumption and contributing to SDG 12.


🎓 Student Takeaways & Recognition : Upon successful completion of the internship, students will receive: UNDESA SDG Project Internship Completion Certificate , Top Performer – IGEN SDG Action Award 2026 (for outstanding contributors), Credit Earned Certificate based on hours actively engaged in SDG project implementation , Official Internship Order Letter recognizing participation and contribution


📌 Eligibility for Student Participants

  1. Free Participation for students from IGEN Green Sustainability Partner Institutions
  2. INR 1000 per project for students from Non-Partner Institutions
