The Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN) invites schools, colleges, NGOs, youth groups, and community organizations to celebrate World Bicycle Day 2026 by organizing a local cycling and green action event in your community.

⏰ Time: 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
🎯 Theme 2026: Cycling for a Greener Future
Proposed Activity : IGEN CYCLE4GREEN Club is planning to celebrate World Bicycle Day 2026 through Group Cycling and Green Action Implementation, supporting 💚 SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being , 🏙️ SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities , ♻️ SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production , 🌎 SDG 13 – Climate Action and 🤝 SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals
Interested participants are requested to:
✅ Form a team with a minimum of 5 members possessing bicycles.
✅ Select a village, community, school, park, public space, or neighborhood for implementing a green action.
✅ Start from a designated location and complete a minimum 10 km cycling ride.
✅ Reach the selected community and implement a green action activity.
✅ Return to the starting point by bicycle and conclude the event.
IGEN will provide guidance and support in identifying and planning suitable green action activities.
Recognition and Awards
🏆 Recognition Certificate for organizations conducting the event.
🏅 World Bicycle Day 2026 Completion Medal for all participants.
📜 World Bicycle Day 2026 E-Certificate for all participants.
🌟 Best Performing Organization will receive the IGEN SDG Action Award.
About World Bicycle Day : World Bicycle Day was officially declared by the United Nations General Assembly on 12 April 2018, designating 3 June of every year as World Bicycle Day.
