The IGEN Walk555 Challenge was launched on World Earth Day 2026 by the Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN) to promote health and sustainable living. The event was inaugurated by Dr. L. Ramesh, President – IGEN, and graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Senthil.C, Department Head (Community Medicine), A.C.S Medical College & Hospital and Consultant – BE WELL Hospital, Poonamallee.

The challenge encourages participants to achieve 5,55,000 steps in 90 days, fostering discipline, fitness, and environmental awareness. Students, faculty, and global participants actively engaged using digital tracking, creating a strong and motivated community.

The initiative successfully highlighted the importance of daily physical activity and sustainable lifestyles, inspiring participants to contribute towards a healthier and greener future.
