Invitation to Participate in the SDG 7 Energy Behavior Research Survey
We invite you to contribute to the SDG 7 Residential Energy Behaviour Research Survey, a key research initiative under the IGEN SDG Research Projects.
This survey aims to examine the interrelationship between household energy awareness, energy efficiency practices, and renewable energy adoption in residential environments. The study is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy and SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production.
The research is being conducted by the IGEN Research and Innovation Consortium (IGEN RIC) of the Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN), reflecting our commitment to promoting evidence-based sustainability actions and responsible energy practices. www.theigen.org
We kindly request you to spare a few minutes of your valuable time to complete this survey and receive IGEN SDG 7 Research Contributor Certificate.
📝 Survey Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B9NYCJ6 . The E-Certificate will be communicated within 10 days after the date of survey completion.
For data privacy and security, the survey does not collect participants’ phone numbers.
The survey seeks to understand how household sustainability awareness influences energy conservation behavior and how this awareness leads to the adoption and continued use of energy-efficient technologies without compromising household comfort. It also explores how positive attitudes toward renewable energy encourage the adoption of rooftop solar systems and other small-scale renewable solutions.
By integrating behavioural, technological, and attitudinal dimensions, this IGEN-led research aims to identify the key drivers, barriers, and readiness levels of households transitioning toward low-energy, energy-efficient, and renewable-powered homes.
The findings will contribute to the development of a Next Generation Home Energy Triangle Framework—a structured and scalable model designed to guide household energy management, policy development, and community-level sustainability interventions.
This framework will support sustainable energy planning and climate-resilient living, while contributing to the broader objectives of SDG 7 and SDG 12.
