Chennai, September 2025 — The Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN) and International Tamil Engineers Forum (ITEF) successfully concluded the 3rd edition of IGEN ENVIRONTHON 2025, held from 10:00 AM on 13 September to 10:00 PM on 14 September 2025, certified by the Limca Book of Records and the World Book of Records, London

The event set a new world record for “The World’s Longest 36-Hour Virtual Climate Solutions Marathon on Panchabhutas, aligned with the UN SDGs and COP30.”

With participation from global experts, youth, and innovators, the marathon produced 18 key recommendations for climate action, to be presented to COP30 and the UN SDG Committee. Supported by ITEF as Title Platinum Sponsor, the event also launched the Handbook of Panchabhutas, reinforcing global commitment to sustainability.
