IGEN Global Representation Framework – Invitation to Join the IGEN Global Team
The Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN) invites green thinkers, sustainability leaders, academics, professionals, innovators, and changemakers from across the world to join the IGEN Global Representation Framework as IGEN Country Ambassadors. This structured, action-oriented leadership model is designed to expand the reach and impact of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiatives at the national level, while leading and coordinating country-specific activities aligned with the IGEN VIBBGGYOR Hubs.

Shortlisted applicants will be intimated and invited for a discussion with IGEN Board of Advisors (BoA) Members, following which nominations will be finalized for the role of IGEN Country Ambassador – 2026.
To ensure commitment-driven leadership, IGEN will initially appoint one lead member from each country as an
👉 IGEN Country Coordinator.
The Country Coordinator will play a pivotal role in initiating and coordinating IGEN activities at the national level, building networks with institutions, professionals, youth, and civil society, and aligning all initiatives with the IGEN VIBBGGYOR Navarathna Framework and SDGs. This role focuses on action, collaboration, and measurable outcomes.
Based on demonstrated commitment, leadership, and impact, the Country Coordinator will be elevated to the role of
👉 IGEN Country Ambassador.
The Country Ambassador represents the highest level of national leadership within IGEN and is entrusted with advancing the organization’s mission through sustained action and strategic coordination.
🌍 Roles & Responsibilities – IGEN Country Ambassador
- Membership Leadership – To lead the identification, onboarding, and engagement of dedicated IGEN members within the country, strengthening the national IGEN ecosystem.
- Program & Project Coordination – To coordinate IGEN events and SDG projects, ensuring active participation and representation from the country in global and regional initiatives.
- National Flagship Event Leadership – To plan and organize at least one annual country-level IGEN flagship event, fostering collaboration among institutions, professionals, youth, and partners while advancing the UN SDGs.
