To support Indian Fit India Movement and to mark UN World Bicycle Day (3 June 2026), The Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN) invites Universities, Colleges, and Schools to establish IGEN CYCLE4GREEN Clubs and actively contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through cycling-based climate action.
IGEN CYCLE4GREEN is a flagship SDG initiative that promotes cycling as a simple yet powerful solution supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). By encouraging low-carbon mobility and community engagement, the initiative connects everyday actions with global sustainability goals.

How to Start an IGEN CYCLE4GREEN Club : Form a team of minimum five students committed to cycling once a week with a defined green action , Appoint one staff member as Mentor, Finalise a club project plan aligned with SDG outcomes , Inaugurate the Club and begin regular cycling and sustainability activities

Why Join : Promote eco-friendly transport and healthy lifestyles (SDG 3) , Enable student-led climate action and community engagement (SDG 11 & 13), Encourage responsible and low-carbon living practices (SDG 12), Receive recognition as an official IGEN SDG sustainability club
