The Institution of Green Engineers partnered Energy Swaraj Foundation celebrating First Climate Correction Day (CCD) Challenge by participating “No Ironed Clothes Day” on Jan 04, 2023.

No Ironed Clothes Day – No ironed clothes day: Do not wear any ironed clothes on 4th January, 2023. Ironing takes a lot Power. For example, a LED bulb takes only about 10 to 40 Watt of power but an electric iron takes about 600 to 1200 Watt of power, nearly 20 to 30 times more than a bulb. Ironing just one pair of clothes for entire family of 5 would cause emission of approximately 1 kg of CO2.

Too much, just for removing beautiful creases, isn’t ? – Anyway, wearing ironed clothes are not even essential aspect of our life. Take this challenge yourself NOW. Be the changemaker. Start your satisfying journey towards sustainable life and make Mission LiFE a success.

Encourage your friends, family members and organizations to do the same.
