The Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN) invites nominations from its Partner Institutions to recognize outstanding contributions aligned to #sdg9 , innovation, patent publication, and granted patents.
This initiative is organized in celebration of:
- 💡 World Creativity and Innovation Day (April 21)
- 🌐 World Intellectual Property Day (April 26)
📢 Call for Nominations
We invite innovators, researchers, faculty members, and students to submit nominations for:
- 📜 Published Patents 🏆 Granted Patents
📌 Eligibility Criteria
- Open only to IGEN Green Sustainability Partner Institutions
- Innovations must align with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially environmental sustainability
- Both individual and team nominations are accepted
- Applicants must submit: Patent details, Abstract, Impact (SDG/environmental relevance)
🗓 Important Dates
- 📅 Last Date for Nomination: 20th April 2026
- 🎤 Presentation to Expert Panel: 22nd – 24th April 2026
- 🏆 Award Ceremony: 26th April 2026 (Online)
🏅 Recognition & Benefits
- Awards aligned with #SDG5 (Gender Equality) ensuring recognition of both male and female innovators
- Winners will be honored during the World Intellectual Property Day celebration
- Number of awards will be decided, based on quality and merit of nominations
