The event was formally inaugurated during the ITEF Conference at the Chennai Trade Centre, Tamil Nadu. On this occasion, the Program Book of IGEN Environthon was unveiled by the Chairman and Managing Director of the International Tamil Engineers Forum.

📌 Online Inauguration
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Member, State Planning Commission, Government of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the event virtually and delivered the inaugural address, inspiring participants to take impactful steps in sustainability and climate action.

🏃 Flag-Off Event
The Marathon for Climate Action was flagged off at 10:00 AM by Team IGEN Environthon, together with IGEN organisers, at Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai.
